‘Tech a break’ - Virtual Run/Walk/Roll - Oct 2020
‘Tech a break’ - a virtual walk/run/roll event hosted by Ray of Hope International Foundation to raise awareness & funds for our local partner, Inglis. As you disconnect from your technology devices to participate in this event, you will help connect people with severe disabilities in the Philadelphia area to critical Assistive technology.
August: ‘Natyacise’ - dance fitness series - featuring a series of virtual dance classes to help you focus on your health & fitness. The sessions included Yoga, Indian contemporary dance, Salsa & Bachata, and Belly Dancing.
April/May: COVID fundraiser to support telehealth, food, PPE, stay at home and hygiene kits for under privileged in India and US
2019:
October: Inglis Bash – Ray of Hope was a transformation sponsor for the grand opening of the Inglis Innovation Center that would now become the premium venue and channel to provide adapted tech for disabled all across the Philadelphia region
September: Inglis Keane games – Ray of Hope volunteers supported the beautiful special Olympics event with 15+ volunteers
May: Nava Nritya Dance Academy 15th year milestone annual show “Avatar” showcasing 24 dances presented in a professional production by 70+ dancers
2018:
Feb : “Natyacise” yoga dance event – an exciting 1 hour yoga, Indian classical and Belly dancing workout hosted by Anwesha Dutta, Anitha Kannan, Deanne Caputo and Anjali Menon in Wayne, PA attended by 25 enthusiastic fitness enthusiasts
May: Nava Nritya Dance Academy annual show “Mantra” – magical rhythms showcasing 24 dances presented in a professional production by 70+ dancers
October : 5K walk & run –Our first ever walk and run in downtown West Chester, PA was attended by 85 people on Saturday October 6th to support our causes.
November: Local renowned Indian artist Rinal Parikh conducted a beautiful 2-day Indian art exhibition in Wayne, PA in honor of Inglis, Ray of Hope’s local cause.
December: PwC Digital Crowdfunding campaign was held online through the PwC crowdfunding platform
2017:
Mar : The Dance Academy performed at the Please Touch Museum, and dedicated the performance proceeds to Ray of Hope, on the occasion of the Indian festival “Holi – festival of colors”
Jun: Nava Nritya Dance Academy annual show “Vande Mataram” magical rhythms showcasing 24 dances presented in a professional production by 70+ dancers
October : “Saree bazaar” fundraiser by Sunanda Ganguly hosted in Blue Bell, PA where multiple families and vendors donated beautiful sarees, accessories, beauty products and jewelry that were auctioned off, benefiting Ray of Hope
November: Facebook fundraiser as a digital campaign to raise funds for Ray of Hope as a part of Giving Tuesday
December: PwC Crowd Funding campaign digitally and Ray of Hope was also the winner of a $10k grant from PwC Foundation

Jan: Philadelphia 76ers Indian American Heritage Night – the dance academy performed at Wells Fargo Center and proceeds from the tickets were donated to Ray of Hope
Jun: Nava Nritya Dance Academy annual show “Leela” showcasing 24 dances presented in a professional production by 70+ dancers
Aug : Anwesha got the Philadelphia Business Journal – Minority Business Leader Award
Oct : Philadelphia Art Museum Performance: The Dance Academy performed and dedicated the performance proceeds to Ray of Hope, on the occasion of the Indian festival “Diwali – festival of lights”
Oct: PwC “Crowdfunding” campaign
Nov: “Mezze” Benefit Dinner @ The Saturday Club, Wayne – A Mediterranean themed dinner and entertainment night with delicious food and social networking, attended by 100+ guests.

Oct 2013: Sabor del Latino – A Latin-inspired cocktail evening featuring delicious food & drink, lovely entertainment and lots of fun – all for the wonderful cause of furthering our support to Inglis House in Philadelphia, our local program to empower the lives of the disabled
Jun 2013: Nava Nritya Dance Academy annual show “Leela” showcasing 24 dances presented in a professional production by 70+ dancers
Feb 2013: Valentine’s Bowling Night – an exciting bowling night in East Norriton, PA where 20+ families with children participated to support Ray of Hope
Nov 2012: Global Holiday Gala featuring Diwali, Kwanzaa, Chinese moon festival and West African, Indian and Chinese performances with holiday shopping and international menu attended by 85+ guests.
